Founded in 1996, PJ’s Gourmet began with a grandmother’s love of homemade sweet potato pie and a family recipe rooted in childhood memories of Dayton, Ohio.
What started in a family kitchen quickly blossomed into a family-owned business, bringing the comforting taste of homemade goodness to communities throughout Altadena and Pasadena. For 30 years, PJ’s Gourmet has been part of local holiday gatherings, family celebrations, and cherished traditions. Today, we continue to honor our humble beginnings by sharing more than just a homemade pie. We share a legacy built on family, love, and the joy of bringing people together with our delicious desserts.
A 2012 graduate of Le Cordon Bleu with a degree in Culinary Studies, Chef Phyllis Jackson has built a career as a full-time entrepreneur, serving an impressive clientele that includes celebrities such as Christina Aguilera and Snoop Dogg. Today, she is dedicated to taking PJ’s Gourmet to new heights while preserving the quality, sophistication, and family tradition her grandmother established in 1996. Her vision is to honor the legacy while creating an exciting future for the next generation of PJ’s Gourmet.
